What it is
A precise, measured dose where it matters.
Botulinum A is a class of injectable used to soften the appearance of expression lines – particularly across the forehead, between the brows, and around the eyes. It works by quietly relaxing the muscles that drive those lines, allowing the skin above to settle and the lines to soften.
Botox® and Dysport® are the two products we work with. They are equivalent in function – the same active ingredient class, delivered in slightly different formulations. The choice between them is made at consultation, based on your skin, the area being treated, and how your face moves naturally.
We work conservatively – measured units placed precisely where they'll do their work, with the goal of softening rather than freezing. The right dose is the smallest one that gives you the result you're looking for, not the largest one we can place.
Done well, Botulinum A doesn't read as a treatment. It reads as rested, less tired, more like yourself on a good day. That's the result we work towards.

The consultation
We talk through what you'd love, what you want to avoid, and look at how your face moves naturally. Plans are personal – what suits one face won't suit another. We'll always be honest if we think you don't need it, or if a different approach would suit you better.

The treatment
The injection itself takes around ten minutes. We cleanse the area, mark the points carefully, and place each unit with a fine needle. Most clients describe it as a brief pinch.

The aftercare
Almost no visible downtime – possibly a small dot at each injection point for an hour or two. We ask you to avoid lying flat or exercising for four hours, and we'll see you back at two weeks for a settle review if it's your first session.
Frequency & rhythm
Three to four months, then a top-up.
Botulinum A settles fully at around two weeks and typically lasts three to four months – sometimes longer for clients with calmer expressions, sometimes shorter for those with very active musculature.
Most clients return at the three-to-four month mark for a maintenance session. We'll always reassess each time – your face changes with rest, with seasons, with life – and adjust the dose accordingly.
We never push frequency. If your previous session is still settling well, we may suggest waiting another month before the next.

Botulinum A suits most adults seeking subtle softening of expression lines. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, certain neuromuscular conditions, and some medications are contraindications. The consultation is detailed, the questions are full, and if injectables aren't right for you today, we'll say so.

Does it hurt, and is there downtime?
