What it is

The peel that asks the most of the skin.

Retinoids – the family of vitamin A derivatives – are arguably the most-studied, most-effective ingredient in modern skincare. At professional strength, in a careful clinical setting, they work at a depth no surface peel can reach.

Lamelle's Retistore is a retinoid-based peel formulated for renewal: fine line softening, surface refinement, tone evening, and the slow rebuilding of dermal structure that gives skin its bounce. It's the peel we reach for when the skin is ready for serious work.

The active phase happens after the appointment, not during it. Skin tends to flake gently across days three to five – that's the renewal happening, on the timeline retinoids prefer.

What it's for

Where Retistore does its lasting work.

This is a peel for skin that's ready to invest in long-term change. It's not a glow facial – it's a renewal protocol.

01

Fine lines & early ageing

The lines that appear, then linger. Retistore prompts collagen renewal at depth, softening the surface story over time.

02

Texture & surface unevenness

Years of accumulated cell turnover slow with age. Retistore quietly resets that rhythm – texture refines, surface becomes more uniform.

03

Photo-damage & dullness

Sun damage that's no longer just pigmentation but structural change. Retinoids work where peels alone can't quite reach.

What to expect

The peel that asks for preparation.

Retistore is the most rigorous of our Lamelle peels. The preparation matters as much as the appointment itself.

01

The consultation

We look at your skin in detail, take a thorough history, and most importantly, talk about preparation. Retistore generally needs two weeks of structured at-home prep before the first session – we'll set that up.

02

The treatment

Cleanse, prep, then careful layered application. You'll feel a soft warmth and possibly a mild tingle. The peel often stays on the skin overnight – we'll guide the timing.

03

The aftercare

Mild flaking from days three to five, sometimes longer. Strict sun protection, simple hydrating cleanser, no actives at home until cleared. We send you off with a clear protocol and remain in touch through the week.

Frequency & rhythm

Steady pacing, then seasonal maintenance.

Treatments are spaced two to four weeks apart. Retistore needs that pacing – both for skin recovery and to give the renewal phase time to compound.

From there, maintenance is usually once or twice a year, often timed for autumn or winter when sun exposure is naturally lower.

Retistore pairs particularly well with microneedling in a longer plan – alternated, never together – for clients seeking layered renewal.

Suitability

Retistore is a patient, structured peel – and we treat the consultation accordingly.

It suits most skin ready for serious renewal work, with a careful first conversation. Pregnancy, recent procedures, certain medications, and very reactive skin all change the plan. We'll always offer a different starting point if Retistore isn't the right answer for your skin today.

Good to know

The questions we hear most.

If something isn't covered here, ask us – the first appointment is a conversation, and no question is too small.

What is the Retistore peel?

It's a retinoid-based Lamelle peel for fine lines, texture, ageing and photo-damage – renewal at a deeper level, without the downtime of more aggressive resurfacing. It's the peel we reach for when skin is ready for serious work.

What's the downtime like?

The active phase happens after the appointment, not during it. Skin tends to flake gently across days three to five – that's the renewal happening, on the timeline retinoids prefer.

What does it help with?

Fine lines that appear and then linger, uneven texture and the slow loss of firmness. Retistore prompts collagen renewal at depth, softening the surface story over time.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no set number – treatments are spaced two to four weeks apart. This is a peel for skin ready to invest in longer-term renewal rather than a single glow.

What does a session cost?

A standalone peel is R1,300.
